The Academic Council Special Committee on Laboratory Issues (ACSCOLI) provides Academic Senate oversight of UC's relationship with Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In this systemwide role, the committee confers with and advises the University president and Board of Regents on general policies relating to the national labs, including the dispersal of UC’s share of net fee monies and collaboration opportunities that facilitate faculty interaction with the national labs. Service on ACSCOLI offers faculty the opportunity to be involved in key decisions regarding the science, technology, and engineering activities and programs at all three lab locations.
