The Joint Academic Senate-Administration Task Force on UC Adaptation to Disruptions ("UCAD Plus") is a successor to the Academic Senate’s Task Force on UC Adaptations to Disruptions (UCAD), which was charged with developing strategies to maintain the excellence of the University of California’s tripartite mission—teaching and education, research and discovery, and public service—in the face of disruptive federal executive orders, uncertain federal and state partnerships, and evolving shifts in the higher education landscape. UCAD Plus will focus on planning that mitigates UC’s vulnerability to current and ongoing threats. Building on UCAD’s interim report, the task force will prioritize recommendations for sustaining the research enterprise and restructuring and resizing academic programs that require coordinated Academic Senate and administrative action.
