Academic Senate Task Force on UC Adaptation to Disruptions (UCAD)

The Academic Senate Task Force on UC Adaptation to Disruptions (UCAD) was formed in April 2025 to develop response strategies that aim to uphold the teaching and education, research and discovery, and public service mission areas of the University of California in the context of disruptive federal executive orders, uncertain federal and state partnerships, and evolving shifts in the higher education landscape. Comprising chairs of systemwide committees and Senate Divisions, the Task Force delivered an interim report to the Academic Council in June, 2025. After a systemwide review, UCAD issued its final report in January, 2026.
