University Committee on Planning and Budget (UCPB)

The University Committee on Planning and Budget (UCPB) advises the University president and administration on budgetary policy and planning matters. In this systemwide role, the committee reviews financial plans and priorities, analyzes systemwide budget processes, and brings a faculty perspective to resource allocation decisions. The committee’s work helps ensure that budget decisions support the University’s research and academic mission and reflect principles of shared governance. Service on UCPB offers faculty the opportunity to influence systemwide budget priorities, contribute to the alignment of resources with institutional goals, elevate financial concerns to the broader Academic Senate, and provide support for divisional Senate budget committees as they engage with campus administrations for the same purpose.
