The University Committee on International Education (UCIE) advises the Academic Senate and University president on policies and academic standards related to the University’s global engagement strategy, including the UC Education Abroad Program. In this systemwide role, the committee reviews and approves study abroad programs, courses, and credit policies, and evaluates program modifications and outcomes to ensure academic quality. The committee’s work helps ensure that international programs meet UC’s academic standards and support the University’s broader goals for global engagement. Service on UCIE offers faculty the opportunity to shape international education policy, contribute to the development of global programs, and support the academic integrity of education abroad.
