University Committee on Academic Personnel (UCAP)

The University Committee on Academic Personnel (UCAP) consults with the University president on systemwide policies addressing faculty personnel matters, including salary scales, appointments, and merit or advancement reviews. In this systemwide role, the committee meets regularly with University leaders to advise on academic personnel policy development and implementation. Members also engage with divisional Senate committee counterparts to review campus standards and policies. The committee’s work helps ensure that systemwide policies and divisional practices are applied consistently. Service on UCAP offers faculty the opportunity to shape new or revised academic personnel policies and to bring relevant best practices to their campus.
