The Task Force on Investment and Retirement (TFIR) reports to the University Committee on Faculty Welfare (UCFW) on issues related to institutional investment and retirement benefits. In this systemwide role, the task force engages with University administrators to review investment practices, retirement policies, and benefit structures affecting faculty as well as staff. The task force’s work helps to retain the long-term stability of the University’s retirement systems and ensure that benefits remain responsive to the needs of faculty and emeriti. Service on TIFR offers faculty the opportunity to contribute to investment and retirement policy and shape the future financial well-being of the UC community.
