The Intersegmental Committee of the Academic Senates (ICAS) brings together Academic Senate leaders from the University of California, California State University, and California Community Colleges to address issues of shared concern. In this role, the committee facilitates collaboration and coordination across the three education segments on matters affecting educational policy, academic standards, and student transfer pathways. The committee’s work helps promote alignment and communication across California’s public higher education systems in support of student success and educational access. Service on ICAS offers faculty the opportunity to engage in cross-system partnerships and contribute to policy discussions shaping higher education in California.
