Michael Green

Michael Green was a Professor Emeritus of Russian literature at the University of California, Irvine. He received his BA from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, University of London. He received his PhD from UCLA in 1973. He was a scholar and translator of Russian symbolism. His translations include works by Andrei Bely, Aleksandr Blok, Fyodor Sologub, Yuri Olesha and others. After his retirement he translated and edited The Russian Symbolist Theater.
