The Coordinating Committee on Graduate Affairs (CCGA) advises the Academic Senate and University president on policies, standards, and long-term strategies related to graduate education. In this systemwide role, the committee reviews and approves proposals for new graduate programs and schools, and analyzes emerging trends in research, interdisciplinary fields, and professional education. The committee’s work helps ensure the quality, coherence, and continued evolution of graduate education across the University. Service on CCGA offers faculty the opportunity to shape graduate education policy, evaluate new academic program proposals, and advance systemwide priorities in research, innovation, and workforce development.
