UC faculty are being invited to apply for UC Education Abroad directorships at three Southern Hemisphere sites: Melbourne, Australia; San Jose, Costa Rica; and Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The posts are for the calendar years 1997 and 1998 and follow the Southern Hemisphere cycle, beginning in January or February and ending in November or December.
UC Education Abroad (EAP) directors administer study centers, work with UC's partner universities, provide academic and general counseling for UC EAP students, and serve as the instructor of record for all academic work undertaken by the students. Candidates must be tenured members of the Academic Senate (including emeriti) or lecturers with security of employment.
