IN MEMORIAM
Rees B. Rees
Clinical Professor and Chair of Dermatology
San Francisco
1909—2002
Rees B. Rees, M.D. was a member of the UCSF Clinical Faculty in Dermatology from 1945 to 2002 and chairman of the Division of Dermatology from the years 1956 to 1966.
He was a role model teacher, administrator and beloved colleague – admired and respected locally, nationally and internationally.
He was president of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Pacific Dermatologic Association, and the American Dermatologic Association.
Generations of UCSF trained medical students, dermatology residents, and faculty remember him as a special star in the academic firmament. Although long retired from San Francisco clinical practice, decades later patients being seen at UCSF comment on their affection for him and admiration for his superb clinical care.
